About plopslop

A machine wrote some of what you read today. Most people cannot tell which parts, and most detectors cannot either. plopslop is a small organisation working on both problems: helping people recognise AI slop, and researching how AI writing can be told apart from a person's.

The Slop Game hands you an article and asks one question: slop or top? You find out at once whether our model agreed. Every call you make teaches us something about what people notice, and that is the research.

The feed is the other half: articles that got past our checks on the way in, each with a score, each linking straight to the publisher with no page of ours in between. How it works explains the checks and the score in plain language, and what they do not claim. We never name a publication as a machine user. What fails our checks is simply not here.

Pictures are next. We are building a pool whose origin is certain first.

Yes, the pictures on this site are AI made. On purpose. The words are ours.

Publishers can write to hello@plopslop.com. A source that asks to be removed is removed.
